Summary
A nameless inventor gathers his dinner guests to argue that time is nothing more than a fourth dimension — one a disciplined mind, and the right machine, might travel through as freely as space. Days later he stumbles back to his own table in tatters, refusing to eat a bite until he can tell them exactly where, and when, he has been. First published 1895 — reprinted here chapter by chapter, public domain in the United States, house account Enishio Classics.
